ABOUT US Since 2005, REAL Fútbol Training has been training and preparing players for their youth, high school, Olympic Development, college and professional teams. Players receive quality training for their individual goals and priorities. Your child develops naturally but at different ages. With this difference, players are allowed the freedom to grow within a style of play that promotes creativity and confidence. PHILOSOPHY Our goal is to develop soccer players by imparting our foot skills, love and passion for the game. Mistakes are a part of learning. Players will gain confidence with the ball and begin to develop as an attacking player. The primary focus of all of our sessions is to build each student's personal skills at the earliest age possible. Our programs are designed for each player to have a ball at their feet at all times, maximizing touches on the ball, and developing confidence with the ball. Each week, players will learn 1-3 new moves. Players will be able to demonstrate each move in 3 learning stages, with variations and coaching points applied. Stage 1 is "free play" where all players will be introduce to the moves and try them on their own with no pressure and direction. Once the moves are learned, players will have some pressure in Stage 2. Small-sided games are created to foster an environment with directions and goals to try the newly learn moves. After 10-20 minutes in Stage 2, players will be set in a game like environment where there is full pressure. Small-sided games with goals are also setup in Stage 3 to challenge players. The "Scrimmage" is a must to end each training session. There will be 2-3 teams where they compete. Variations will include "King of the Pitch"; winner stays on and/or rotating teams. Ultimately, the goal is to get the players to use their new moves in games/scrimmages. No "kick & run" style of play is encouraged. A common point made is, "I'll rather have you lose the ball trying than give up the ball not trying." HISTORY REAL Fútbol Training was established in September of 2005. After 10+ years with Footopia, Phonethip Ketnouvong, decided to leave coaching a 3rd rank (MA) FC United and Footopia Soccer Training to pursue his own training adventures. Phonethip Ketnouvong is the model of fast footwork. In the Fall of 2005, Phonethip began REAL Futbol Training. His footwork techniques is a high demand amongst soccer programs, such as Liverpool FSC, FC United, SAC, Shrewsbury, Stow, Southbridge, Spencer and Millbury. He has played for Region I squad (1993) , MA ODP (1993-1997) , Northeastern University (1998-2002), and the Worcester Kings (2003). He is formerly the head coach of F.C. United's U11 Boys squad who ranked 3rd in MA, 2005. Phonethip is well known to play and coach with a smile. His love and dedication to the improvement of his players, his unwavering concern to their growth as respectful, hard working human beings, and his demand for self-responsibility infuses his coaching relationships. Phonethip sees his soccer players in the larger context of life, and consciously trains them to improve both aspects of their lives. Phonethip has established himself as a youth soccer coach whose keen sense of the game, technical expertise, and supportive and encouraging ways help players to develop their skills and self-confidence. His training sessions are spirited, innovative, and challenging. He has the unique ability to demonstrate all phases of the game. Team (FC U11 Boys) Accomplishments:
